Calvin stands about 27", and weighs 80 lbs. He has a dense, harsh outercoat,tight short undercoat, and is dark liver and white ticked. His eyes aredark. He was whelped June 25, 1998. Calvin's temperament isexcellent. He loves people, and attention.
Every year we've taken him to the Sportsman's show wherehundreds of strangers have the opportunity to handle him. He earned hisbench Ch in 2000. Calvin is producing his coat, temperament and birdhunting ability in his kids. At a young age his kids already have JHtitles, Navhda NA titles, and conformation titles. And most important theyare good hunting partners and family companions. | "Calvin" made his firsthunting trip to Montana before he was 5 mos old. And he didn't go just forthe ride! We hunted birds over him and had a great time watching him learnabout wild pheasants. At 10 months he earned a Prize II (103 pts) at aNavhda NA test. He quickly established himself as our primary hunting dogwith his intensity and bidability. While a big dog, he hastremendous endurance and hunts hard all day. He swims strongly and handles wellon waterfowl never quitting in search for a downed bird.  |
