We sent Tara's mother "Java", Am/Aus CH Darkwings Inverness Java, to Anne Atkinson in Australia in 2002. Java is a litter sister to our girl Smudge, Can CH Darkwings Twist of Fate. Java quickly gained her Australian show championship and was bred to Aus CH Korskote Lookin Xplosiv.
Australia is one of the countries that does not require docked tails as part of the GWP breed standard. Since she was imported from Australia, Tara has a long tail. We believed her to be too old to successfully dock her tail, so it was left as it was when she came to us. Due to this she has never been shown, however, Tara has the beautiful structure of both her parents, and the lovely solid liver coat of her mother.
Tara is a fabulous hunting dog, and loves water; constantly getting into buckets and water troughs. She is always included in the Fall hunting trip with Jack Myles. Tara has OFA'd Excellent and passed her Thyroid test.
