Peat is our young, solid liver stud prospect.  He is a friendly dog who loves to retrieve, he loves the water, points well, and has a good coat.  As a puppy, he was taken  to hunt tests and the 2010 Nationals as social outtings and he did great.  He enjoyed meeting people and absolutely loved his first birds.

In June 2011, Peat was run in his NAVDHA Natural Ability test where he earned a perfect score of 112.  We were extremely pleased with his performance and are excited to work on his training for MH/UT work in the future.

Peat had a great first hunting season!  He quickly learned I had the gun to shoot the birds and started to work with me as a team.  I brought him into the field twice to find lost birds and he found both, even before some older, more experienced dogs.  We had great points on pheasants, 7 hens in a row the one day - lots of sharp tails and a covey of huns. Retrieving went well although he needs a little more practice on giving - we'll fix that this Spring.
