We began breeding AKC German Wirehaired Pointers in 1977.  Jack and I both had previous experience with other pointing breeds and were amazed at how intelligent, and versatile the Wirehair could be.

Our goal is VERSATILITY.  We have hunted our wirehairs on a variety of upland game, ducks and geese.  We want a dog that thinks, is biddable, yet meets our requirements as a family companion.

News and Updates

As our family grew we found the Wires adapted well to becoming part of the family, being both protective of our children yet willing to play or simply hang out for a nap with a tired youngster.

We breed working dogs for the person who hunts on foot and wants to have both a family dog and a versatile hunting partner with Brains, Conformation and an incredible sense of humor.

Our dogs have the ability to finish in the breed ring, perform in the obedience ring and go into the field the same day.

When not hunting, we enjoy and successfully participate in conformation shows, obedience trials and AKC Hunt Tests. The dogs from our kennels have earned a wide range of titles showing their versatile heritage. We are happy to show off our dogs and welcome visitors.
